In this edition, it’s lovely to have the return of articles from our three United Benefice schools as the new academic year begins. We also welcome new contributors with a report of September’s Mellor Village Show and Rebecca Lamond kindly describing an event held at The Village Hall to remember our late Queen Elizabeth II. 

 

There is so much happening in the next three months. Please use our diary dates page to fill in your own diaries and please support events across the three parishes of our benefice. Within the posters sections are details of: The Harvest Supper at St Leonard’s Balderstone, FOSMS events, a concert at Mellor Brook Community Centre, a first aid course for 11 – 16 year olds at Mellor Village Hall, a Festive Afternoon Tea at Samlesbury Memorial Hall and a Christmas Fayre at Mellor Village Hall.

 

Our advertisements include new lunchtime yoga classes and new yoga classes for Mums and babies at Hot Pod Yoga Ribble Valley, based at Huntleys, while Mellor Brook Community Centre now include their Facebook page both in their advert and in the magazine itself.  

 

Please remember that anyone is welcome to write for the magazine, so if you go to a local group or event, please send us a report. Please can all articles for November’s magazine be emailed to us by Friday, 28th October. Thank you.
