United Benefice Magazine November 2022
The reports in this month’s magazine show that October has been a month with much to celebrate across the Benefice, including the crowning of Mellor’s new Rose Queen, our Harvest Festivals and our United Benefice Confirmation Service. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the wide variety of articles in November’s magazine, but especially to the younger members who have written items, including both Mellor and Samlesbury’s Rose Queens, several of this year’s Confirmation candidates and one of our local Brownies!

In our growing list of advertisers, we are very pleased to welcome The Feildens Arms, Mellor Brook, who have a new chef and food menu. Meanwhile, The Spread Eagle in Mellor have updated their advert with details of an invitation to join them by the fire on Tuesdays in November between 10:00am and 12 noon for unlimited refills of tea and coffee for £2.50 per person.
In December, we shall begin to collect our 2023 business adverts and renewals. If you know of any local or online businesses which would like to advertise with us, for just £25 for a full 12 months of advertising, please ask them to contact unitedbeneficebms@outlook.com.
